Cameron Prince is a highly experienced food and agriculture consultant specializing in regulatory program management and food safety programs.
Beginning as a front line inspector and working over 30 years in food and agricultural inspection programs with the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Cameron served in many different management and executive positions in the food regulatory area. In 2006 Cameron was appointed as Vice President, Operations at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency:a position he held for 8 years. Cameron has been recognized as a leader in the regulatory management field particularly in the area of implementing change. He led the significant change agenda under the CFIA Integrated Inspection Model which is the foundation for the new regulatory program recently implemented under the Safe Food For Canadians Act.Mr. Prince is a leading expert on the Safe Food for Canadians Act and Regulations.He also has extensive expertise in international trade issues with respect to food and agricultural products.
Since leaving the Government of Canada 41/2 years ago, Cameron has been very active as a management consultant on food regulatory systems, in both Canada and the US.He is currently Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for The Acheson Group.
Cameron holds a BSc Honours. from Western University. He is a certified GFSI auditor for BRC and is also a certified lead auditor under the ISO 22000 Food Safety Systems program. Mr. Prince isa USFDA certified instructor for theUS Food Safety Modernization Preventive Control Rules.
Cameron has extensive experience in recent years in helping food companies in issues management, food safety culture, developingSOPs, GMPs, HACCP, Preventive Controls, and achieving GFSI certification.Mr.Prince is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
