About Safe Food California

The Safe Food California conference is the premier Food Safety Conference of the West Coast. The conference brings together food safety executives and professionals, from growers to processors to distributors, come together in a collaborative environment to share resources, solutions, ideas and develop new approaches to their businesses.

Spend three days immersed in industry training, business-to-business networking, and finding inspiration in business strategies. Through these areas of focus Safe Food California provides a venue for our diverse industry to gather, exchange ideas, and learn about the current trends in the industry’s food safety and quality practices.

Each year SFC attendees invest in their goals to expand their food safety education, personally connect with colleagues and grow their business. Innovative speakers and gained insights stemming from discussions with peers representing all sectors of the industry reinvigorate industry connections allowing attendees to move seamlessly between specialized training sessions, focused educational programs, and relaxed social events.

The conference location & hotel for Safe Food California 2018 is the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Located just 20 minutes outside of Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa offers a sophisticated setting enriched by the elegant California desert ambiance. The resort offers the quintessential Palm Springs experience featuring championship golf courses, a top-rated spa, tennis courts, swimming pools, and private poolside cabanas.

Conference room rates start at $229 single/double occupancy. Self-Parking Fee is discounted to $5/night for SFC attendees. Check-in time: 4 pm, Check-out time: 11 am

Bring Your Family

Why not bring your family and extend your stay? The Safe Food California conference dovetails into Spring break for many schools, with Camp Hyatt, Family Golf, bike rentals and a pool with a slide the family can come and have a great time! Stay longer or come earlier, the conference rate is good three days before and after the conference dates for you and your family to enjoy the area together!

Getting There

Traveling to Palm Springs is easier than ever thanks to the ultra-convenient Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), located just 15 miles from the Hyatt Indian Wells. The airport is served by numerous carriers from major cities.

As an alternative, conference attendees may choose to fly into Ontario International Airport (ONT), located 85 miles west (approximately, 1.5 hours drive time) from the Hyatt Indian Wells. It is a medium-hub, full-service airport with commercial jet service to major U.S. cities and through service to many international destinations.

Prefer to drive? Palm Springs is easily accessible via Interstate Highway 10 from the Los Angeles area.

Safe Food Alliance is a technical service organization focused on addressing the needs of the food industry with a special emphasis on California’s specialty crops. With rapidly growing expectations from regulators, consumers, and retail outlets, companies must be more proactive in their approach to food safety and quality practices.
